 It is that time of the year again! Hunters Creek is getting ready for the first Market weekend of the year. As you know, this will also be the weekend we take care of all county business for the year – settling any outstanding disputes, discussing any new issues, and electing the county councilors for the upcoming year.

The weekend will start with a family feast on the first night – open to all residents of Hunters Creek. There will be games and storytelling. We want to hear how your year has gone. We hope that some will choose to sing their story like they have in the past!

The next morning the Market opens! If you have wares or food stuffs from your land holding this will be your chance to sell them, or barter with your neighbors. Youngsters will have a chance to show off some of the skills they’ve honed over the years in a series of contests. The county meeting will be that afternoon, followed by a glorious farewell feast.

Hey! Want to show off your skills at the Farmers’ Market?  Now’s the time!

·         If you have any crafts you’d like to share, we’ll make a space for you to display and even sell your wares.

·         The tavern keeper, while fully prepared to feed you, is always happy to accept baked goods from our villagers J.

·         Have a skill you’ve been aching to demonstrate?  The chief councilor will be happy to add you to the schedule of activities.

 
Friday night we will be having a special ceremony marking the erecting of the town Memorial Stone.  Be there to add the names of your loved ones, and to celebrate all who are gone but not forgotten.
 

Competitions on the docket thus far:  marksmanship (single shot pistol and rifle (NERF)),  Archery, hammer throw,  sheaf toss, caber toss, pie eating, tall tale telling
