It is with great sorrow that the Royal Family of Valmere announces the death of King Willem the Peaceful of the House Cariseth.

The twenty years of Willems reign were peaceful and prosperous.  This is a result of the truce he negotiated with King Elliot of Waywyn shortly after he succeeded the throne of Valmere. This ended the Long War between Valmere and Waywyn.  After five years of further negotiations, Willem the Peaceful married Lyanna of Waywyn to strengthen the peace. The King and Queen Consort welcomed a son, Prince Alexander, two years ago. 

Willem the Peaceful, King of Valmere, shall be given his funeral rites the 26th day of the seventh month of this year.  The coronation of Alexander, Prince of Valmere, shall take place the following day.

The extent of House Cariseth, allies and all who swear fealty are called to attend, witness and confirm these events.
